York Nightstop is a local charity working with other organisations to provide free, emergency accommodation for vulnerable young, single people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness in the homes of trained and skilled volunteers.

York Nightstop also works with young people in the community exploring options and choices surrounding independent living, primarily through the innovative use of interactive drama and aims to inform the public about homelessness issues.

Our Vision-

York Nightstop believes that all young people have the the right to access safe, secure accommodation that is appropriate to their needs and responds to the challenge of youth homelessness through community based voluntary practical provision.

It is York Nightstop's sincere hope that one day there will no lonegr be a need for our service to the community.

Programmes and Activities-

Provision of transport by trained and approved volunteer drivers.

Community outreach work in schools and other settings.
